Let’s face it. Planning a wedding in the UK means one thing is always on the guest list… the weather.


No matter how many times you check the forecast in the lead up to your big day, there’s always a chance the heavens might open. But here’s the good news: rain doesn’t ruin wedding photos - an unprepared photographer does.


As a Yorkshire-based wedding photographer, I’ve photographed weddings in everything from blazing sunshine, to proper sideways Barnsley rain. I can honestly say some of the most stunning, atmospheric images I’ve ever captured have happened indoors during wet weather.


The Reality of a British Wedding Day


In our country, you simply can’t rely on clear skies. That dreamy outdoor confetti shot or golden hour couple’s portrait might need a backup plan, this is where experience matters.
